AAMIT was formed in the Summer of 2000 to provide the highest quality resources and support
to African-American males from elementary age child to the adult aged man in the field
of Information Technology.
Founded on the premise that males who understand and appreciate their role in today's society are more likely to develop a healthly sense of self, and interest in the world around them, and a stake in what happens to them in the home, classroom, and boardroom. AAMIT devotes all of its resources toward reversing the trend of failure among African American males in traditional school and office environments. We are utterly focused on increasing the presence of the African American Male in the IT industry and bridging the digital divide. We make our committments with great care when we implement a program.
